Hmmmm, what day is it…?
Oh, right! Friday!
Time to get our drabble on, y’all!
But, of course, before we get to the magic of the micro-fiction, we spread some good karma.
The Dark Veil Opens by Christopher D. Schmitz!
And an encore for The Neighbor You Don’t Know by Shane Shepherd!
My turn! If you haven’t tuned into the Zelaunch then take a look here!
Now, let us all pray at the Altar of 100 words!
Cheers!

A Hungry One
By
Jake Bible
Pastor Rick licked his lips and tried to smile. He failed at the latter.
“You see him, right?” he whispered.
Only the first row of his congregation could hear him. The rest leaned in, confused.
“There,” Pastor Rick said and pointed at the pulpit steps.
“They can’t see me, Ricky baby.”
“Begone, Satan!” Pastor Rick bellowed.
“Satan? Oh, you got it wrong.”
The congregation screamed as what had been invisible became visible.
“I’m God, motherfuckers!”
They fled.
Or tried.
The doors slammed shut.
“Or a god,” the deity said with a shrug. “And a hungry one. Let’s eat!”
It did.
