Another week down, y’all…
Happy Friday!
Or I hope it’s happy for you. If not then maybe some free micro-fiction will help. It’s not much, just 100 words, but I do what I can.
Before we get to the drabble goodness, I’d like to share my space with some other hard working writerly-type folks!
Benyakir Horowitz’s Delusion of Forms!
Paul Heingarten’s Quantum of Destiny!
Oh, and do me favor, will ya? Could you share the Zelaunch on your social medias and grapevines and rumor mills and words of mouths? That’d be swell!
And if you haven’t watched and subscribed to SlideShow Cinema, you really should! Here’s a taste!
Now, on with the drabble!
Enjoy!

Universal Rules
By
Jake Bible
“Drink this.”
Melissa knew that most rules in life were subjective and really didn't matter in the grand scheme of things.
However, there were a few universal rules…
Brush your teeth twice a day.
Drink plenty of water.
Treat others as you would like to be treated.
Don’t take drinks from strangers.
But those were rules for living; for the living…
“Drink this.”
One skeletal hand held the cup, the other the boat’s setting pole.
“Charon, right?” Melissa asked. The boatman nodded. “Melissa. I guess we’re not strangers anymore.”
Melissa took the cup, drank deep, and stepped onto the boat.
