More Purple

The battlefield was purple.

Not a natural purple. Not an artistic purple.

A messy purple.

A purple made of two colors.

Two colors of blood.

Kay’Lee stood her ground, the last of her battalion, and stared across the battlefield, her feet planted in soil stained red, the color of her people’s blood.

Across the battlefield waited a hundred Gestian warriors, their blue blood smeared across their bodies.

Kay’Lee lifted her sword and activated the energy warp. The air crackled.

Without a word, Kay’Lee strode across the battlefield towards the Gestians.

She was itching to make more purple.
