I’m still ramping everything up, getting it all ready for the first podcast episode release. In the meantime, feel free to ask me anything regarding my writing, the publishing biz, and whatever! You may get a serious answer, a sarcastic answer, or I may not know the answer!
When you get an idea to write a new book, do you create an outline and "supporting documents" to help flesh it out? In other words, do you have a plan or do you just start writing and see where it takes you?
Excellent question! Honestly, it depends on the idea. The majority of the time I am able to just go for it. However, if I have a great idea, but don't have any story to go with that idea, I might sketch out a few chapters in a rough outline so I have some guides to go by. Realistically, I ditch the outline once I get a little writing steam going and then let the story take over. No matter what way I work, I do maintain a document that has the novel's description, comprehensive list of characters, maybe a couple of plot points, lists of equipment/places/organizations integral to the story.
I will say that if I find myself spending too much time and energy on a supporting document then I just dive in and start writing the actual novel. It can always be fixed later.
No guests for the first several months. I want to get a handle on the flow and format of the work first. But eventually it may happen, if not live then maybe by allowing fans to leave a message (looking at different services) and I can play that then answer questions.

Will you be having fans on your podcast?

Hi Jake, will you ever continue the zburbia or the sisters series? Please do.
I do plan on revisiting Z-Burbia and the Sisters. It'll be a while before I can get to those stories, but they will be happening, for sure. :)
Cool, I cant wait. Thanks so much for the awesome work.
