Hey Y’all!
I wasn’t planning on posting again so soon, but I just had to say thank you to those that have already subscribed!
While there have been a few that chose the free option (which is great!) there were even more that chose to be paid subscribers. Huzzah to you, my friends! Huzzah!
I know I said I wasn’t going to be dropping content until September/October, but I just felt bad that there wasn’t anything exclusively for paid subscribers.
So I fixed that!
While not exactly new, I have imported all of my Friday Night Drabble posts from my website over to here. These are only available to paid subscribers. I had a blast going back over some of the posts and the drabbles. Oh, what a kid I was way back then…
Quick disclaimer: Because I imported from Wordpress to Substack, not all of the links still work and a few of the images in the posts are pixelated due to importing at the wrong resolution. While I would love to fix all the issues, there are 384 posts, so I think we’ll just leave the imperfections for now.
If you are new to FNDP then you are probably asking, what is a drabble?
Well, that is a very good question and, considering it started my writing career, a question that I should answer.
To put it simply, a drabble is a short short story written using only 100 words. Not 99 words, not 101 words, but 100 words exactly.
Now, knowing the Internet and its denizens the way I do, I know some of you want more, so here is a link to the Wikipedia page: Drabble
Again, a HUGE thank you to those that have already subscribed!
Chat soon!
Cheers, y’all!
-Jake
The first book of yours that I read was a drabble book - each chapter was exactly 100 words - very cool and a great story. Keep hanging in there - I enjoyed my time as a member of your reading team and look forward to more adventures with Mech, Flip Side and other stories that haven't even developed yet....
