To Become Legend

The bird landed softly in the nest, careful of the four eggs taking up the majority of the space.

Lionel, never one to shy away from danger, clung to the outside of the nest, his body dwarfed by the logs and huge branches the bird had used.

“I’m close,” Lionel said quietly into the comms.

“Be careful,” a voice replied in his earpiece. “It’s carnivorous.”

Lionel was well aware of that since he’d discovered the species on his previous trip to the island.

With camera in hand, Lionel was ready to become legend.

Unfortunately, Mama bird preferred he become dinner.
