Friday! FRIDAY!
Welcome back, y’all. Glad you could make it!
Nothing much to say this week except I appreciate every single one of you. You keep coming back each week for 100 words of fiction. Just 100 words. Not a novel, not a chapter, not a short story, but a drabble. 100 words.
Love it!
No need to keep you from what you are craving. Let’s hit that micro-fiction!
Cheers!

Total Leaf Fall
By
Jake Bible
Total leaf fall.
That’s what they called it.
When the trees bared their skeletons.
Forever.
It wasn’t unheard of.
Forests had been known to drop their leaves almost overnight.
But that was during Autumn, when leaves should fall.
Not in July.
Never in July.
With the leaves gone from every single tree, the world began to die.
Weather patterns changed quickly. Animals changed quickly.
Then the air grew thin.
So very thin.
No leaves? No oxygen.
“An O2 tank for each citizen!” was the political rallying cry, but a cry into the void.
The world has ended.
Total leaf fall…
