Hello there!
How y’all doing this evening? I hope May is treating you well.
I’ll make this quick since I know a lot of you are getting ready for, or already in the throws of, Memorial Day weekend.
Hey! Need something to read this weekend? Try these books out!
They look like some good holiday reads, so click those covers!
And I think I’ll go get my Memorial Day holiday on and let you read this week’s drabble.
Enjoy!
Cheers!

Against The Hardwood Floor
By
Jake Bible
The dresses above Linda’s head swayed slightly as she carefully adjusted her position on the closet floor.
She cringed at the movement above her, fearful the hangars would clack against each other.
She couldn’t have that. She had to be silent.
Her eyes locked onto the slit beneath the closet door and her bedroom floor.
She watched. She waited.
Then, inevitably, she heard.
The claws scraping against the hardwood floor. The snuffle of the thing’s huge snout.
The sizzle as its drool dripped from its lips and scorched her bedroom floor.
She watched. She waited.
Until it was all over.
