Howdy!
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it’s been a bit. Took a little break from the ol’ FNDP. Life is busy. Work is busy. Everything is busy.
But I have returned!
And so has your weekly dose of free micro-fiction!
Nothing new to report this week other than SUPPORT THE WGA!
Seriously. If you want quality storytelling in your life, then the fight the WGA is waging is a fight not just for creators, but for the audience as well.
Trust me. Support the WGA.
Now, on with the drabble!
Cheers!

Dumbass Weirdo
By
Jake Bible
“Bertrand?”
Alicia walked the dark hallway, her hand outstretched, feeling for obstacles.
A creak.
A whisper.
“Bertrand? Is that you?”
More whispers.
More creaks.
A footstep.
Several footsteps! Running footsteps!
Alicia whirled about, ready to clock whatever was coming at her.
The dark hallway was empty.
She searched the shadows, nearly giving herself a migraine as her eyes strained to pierce the gloom.
Nothing.
“BERTRAND!”
A scream!
More footsteps!
More whispers!
Louder!
LOUDER!
Alicia ran.
She exploded out of the house, down the steps, into her car, and was gone.
Screw Bertrand.
Haunted house for a second date?
Dumbass weirdo…
