DO I MIND?

The blaster remained on Nikka’s hip.

She could pull it and fire, sure, but why? The beki standing before her was harmless.

Three meters tall and made of muscle and teeth, but harmless.

Beki’s just weren't fighters.

“You’re in my way. Do you mind?” Nikki asked, the words leaving her mouth before she could stop them.

“Do I mind? DO I MIND?” the beki screeched.

Bekis, however, were notorious whiners.

“Lady, I freakin’ mind, alright,” the beki continued. “Let me tell ya why…”

Nikka caught the bartender’s attention, took another deep breath then grabbed the closest stool and prepared herself…
