The Guava Wolves
By
Jake Bible
“There was a time, long ago, when Man stood proud and faced Evil in all its forms.
“Now…?
“Now, Man cowers in the caves and the dugouts.
“Now, Man hides in basements and cellars.
“Now, Man holes up anywhere they can, terrified of what is out there, what is coming for them.”
“Yeah, well, that’s because of the Guava Wolves.”
“Shut up, Neil! We all know why! Let the Storyteller tell the damn story!”
“Just sayin’…”
“Yes, young Neil, we live in constant fear of the Guava Wolves. Their sickeningly sweet howls and rotten fruit breath.”
“They’re the worst.”
“Totally.”
