Friday Night Drabble Party!
Well, unfortunately, what with all the crazy weather coming in, I had to postpone the author reading this weekend. It’s not going to be as blizzardy as we thought, but the roads will still be a frozen, slippery mess. And while I can drive in a frozen, slippery mess, the vast majority of other drivers cannot.
So we have rescheduled the event for February 21st! If you’re in the area and can make it, please do. I’ll have the updated flyer ready for next week’s posts. Please share!
Speaking of sharing, if you have picked up a copy of They All Bleed: Ten NoSleep Stories, Volume Two, please share a rating or review so the Amazon algorithm is properly fed. Also, just share the heck out of this link! Tell the people of the world!
Oh, and the second half of “The Scrabbling, the Scratching, the Clicking and Scraping” dropped, but I screwed up and put the wrong title in the email I sent out. Have a read if you missed it. Also, the first part of the new story, “There Are Specters On My Tail, And I’m All Out Of Bullets” is now in the Always Free Fiction feed. Episode 2 comes out on Wednesday!
Now, on with the drabble!
Cheers!
She Pressed The Trigger
By

The woman sipped her drink as she watched the patrons of the bar chat, mingle, and enjoy themselves. The woman wished she could do the same. But that time was gone. Enjoyment wasn’t for her.
Revenge was what she was after.
The woman stood, downed her drink, set the empty on the bar, turned to the bartender, and said, “You’re gonna want to get down, buddy.”
The woman walked out amongst the patrons, sneering at the wealth on display.
Then she pulled the bomb’s detonator out from under her dress, smiled, and shouted, “For the Resistance!”
She pressed the trigger.
You know what to do…

Safety first! Rescheduling to February 21st is absolutely the right call. No reading is worth risking anyone's safety on icy roads. Looking forward to the event when conditions are better. Hope everyone in the area stays safe through this weather!
