Alright, alright, alright! Welcome back to the party!
So, that was an enlightening poll I put up last week. A resounding 97% of respondents do not pay attention to #booktok. That’s good to know. Unfortunately, the amount of responses was so low that I can’t really use the poll as a legit sampling of subscribers. Oh, well. Live and learn!
Man, I read a great book this week. It’s the second book in the Indian Lake Trilogy by Stephen Graham Jones. Y’all gotta check it out! Mr. Jones is just getting better and better with every book he writes and that’s a pretty high bar, y’all. I’m fairly certain he’ll hit Horror Master status in the next few years. Go check it out!
Now, on with the drabble!
Cheers!

Lack Of Resources
By
Jake Bible
“Have you seen the quarterly reports?”
Norris attempted a brave smile.
“No, sir. Is there a problem?”
Donovan sighed in that Donovan way- bored yet deadly.
“Problem? No. Problems? Yes. We’re down eighteen percent. Eighteen percent, Norris. What happened to production?”
“They fell behind, sir. Lack of resources.”
“Lack of resources… No lack of excuses, though. Correct this problem, Norris.”
“Yes, sir.”
“We wouldn’t want you to become a resource, would we, Norris?”
Norris flinched. “No, sir.”
“Good.” Donovan grinned, baring his razor sharp teeth. “Very good.”
“I’ll do better, sir.”
“I know you will, Norris. I know you will.”
