Another Friday means another free drabble for all you groovy guys and hip chicks out there. Hell yeah!

Not A Boil

“It’s not a boil! It’s fucking moving!” I shout.

Dr. Grady, a sad sack of a ship’s doctor, pokes the not-boil that sits on top of my right foot.

“Squishy,” he says and chuckles.

“Hurry, Doc! It’s digging!”

“Oh, my, it is. Let’s see… Scalpel? Scalpel?”

“You’re gonna cut before running tests?”

“What tests would I run? It’s obvious that you have been implanted with some alien organism. Best I can do is cut it out and hope that it doesn't grow ten times its size and eat us all.”

He finds the scalpel.

“Ready?”

“Fuck no!”

He doesn’t listen.
