Ten fingers. Ten toes.

Erin breathed deeply.

They were in there. She could feel them.

Nine fingers. Ten toes.

The warmth spread everywhere.

Not that one.

Eight fingers. Ten toes.

More warmth.

Elation.

Then disappointment.

She didn’t see a sign of them anywhere.

It could not be. She absolutely knew they were in there.

She also knew they could not hide forever.

It was time to ratchet things up a bit.

Eight fingers. Five toes.

Oh, the warmth!

Ooo, and a little dizzy too.

She searched.

There!

Oh, they thought they were smart!
