Happy Friday and welcome back!
Glad y’all could make it once again for the FNDP. I appreciate ya!
So, I am currently working on some neat audio fiction. It’s an idea that’s been percolating in the ol’ brainpan for about a decade. No joke. I have the first episode put together, but it’ll be awhile before release. I want to make sure I have a few in the can when this baby launches.
The cool thing is I can create another podcast stream for y’all to subscribe to. Substack is groovy that way! I’ll keep y’all posted on my progress and also share the link to the podcast once it launches. Gonna be fun!
Know what else is fun? 100 words of free micro-fiction! Enjoy!
Cheers!

Never Funny
By
Jake Bible
“Where is the money?!”
Todd blinked, winced at the pain from the ropes cutting into his wrists, and blinked again.
“In my checking account?” Todd replied. “There’s not much, man.”
“You think this is funny? I’ll blow your brains out, funny man.”
“Dude. Working minimum wage is never funny. Believe me…”
The man growled then stepped back. He pulled a note from his pocket.
“This is 253 Lawrence Ave, right?”
“251.”
“Shit.”
The man left. Just like that.
“Uh…can you untie me, at least? I have a shift in an hour! Hello?”
Todd sighed. The damn ropes really chafed.
