First off, I finally got around to going through my shelves of author copies. I actually have a few books that can be autographed and sold. I’d been meaning to get to this way sooner, so it took a little nudge from a fan to get me off my ass.

A Puddle Of Piss

The angel fell.
Mickey drank.
“What’s that?” Hal asked, looking up at the sky with bleary eyes.
Mickey took a pull off his Old Forester pint and raised his head.
The alley stank. Mickey stank. The angel fell.
“Move,” Mickey said.
“What?”
“Move.”
The angel fell.
Hal didn’t move.
After wiping what was left of Hal off his face, Mickey offered the Hal-coated angel a sip from his pint.
The angel gladly took it.
“Sorry about your friend.”
Mickey shrugged.
Then they sat and stared at a puddle of piss by the alley wall.
“Bad day?” Mickey asked.
“Yeah.”
“Same.”
