"The Screams Continued"

Welcome back to the Party, y’all!

Glad you could make it.

I found it strange last week that after not sending out a new FNDP in weeks, folks decided to unsubscribe when they got the latest newsletter. I mean, it’s free fiction, and it certainly wasn’t like I’d been spamming y’all, so what’s the deal?

Figuring humans out is exhausting…

Anyhoo, a quick update on some writing stuffs:

• The Fighting Iron series is getting a reboot with new covers and new titles (the overall series should still be called Fighting Iron, but that depends on the ol’ Amazon algorithm). I’ll be sure to let everyone know when it has been released!

• Same goes for the Dead Team Alpha series (a sequel series, of a sort, to Z-Burbia). The new title will be “No Easy Dead”. Why a new title? Because otherwise The Zon will bury the re-release in algorithm hell. Publishing is a strange landscape, y’all…

• I am still working on the last two novels in the Timeside series (formerly the Flipside series). Not sure about title changes or not. We shall see! But look for the new novels in probably a year or so…heavy on the “so” part.

The Screams Continued

It should have been settled.

We harvested the fruit and set the agreed upon percentage at the drop point.

It should have been settled!

But it wasn’t…

They came at 4am.

I awoke to the Lindys’ screams.

I knew it was them because I could hear Hal bellowing in that massive, bear voice of his.

Then it was cut short.

Suddenly, no Hal.

After that it was pure chaos.

I rolled off my cot, grabbed my boots, and slit the back of my tent open with my knife.

I was gone in seconds.

The compound was lost.

The screams continued…
