His Name

Tension built in Jordan’s neck until he was certain his head would snap right off.

“You good, babe?” his wife asked.

Jordan’s attention was on the news alert on his phone.

“Babe?”

“Huh?” Jordan tucked his phone into his pocket. He switched off the TV. “How about an early night?” 

He gave his wife a wink.

She smiled and soon they were in the bedroom.

After, Jordan prepped a bag, watched her sleep, and then slipped out the back door.

He knew one day he’d see a news alert with his name in it.

They must have found the bodies…
