“Fentanyl.”

“Seriously?”

“Seriously.”

“In the blood?”

“Yeah. Every single bag of blood taken from the scene has Fentanyl in it. Carefully dosed too.” Moni pointed to the fridge on the counter. “Top shelf has exactly five milligrams per bag. The second shelf has exactly ten milligrams per bag.”

“Those amounts will kill a person in seconds.”

Moni nodded at Detective Gorman. “Yeah…but are we dealing with people?”

Gorman frowned, glanced at the bags of blood, frowned deeper. “You aren't saying…?”

Moni shrugged. “You brought this to me instead of your own crime lab…”

“Shit.” Gorman sighed. “Junkie vampires. Great…”
