"Boy, Am I Wrong..."

It’s another Friday, and I am so lucky I get to spend it with all you fine folk. Just lovely people, you are. Lovely.

Man, I wish I could talk about all the stuff that is happening right now. Maybe next Friday I can chat about a few things. We’ll see!

In the meantime, since I have been taking a break from sharing other authors’ works, I’ll share mine.

What? It could happen? I saw a guy do it on “That’s Incredible!” back in the ‘80s. I also saw a guy get covered in bees. Maybe don’t do that. Stick to unicycles.

I glare at the man as the sludge and slime slowly swallow me.

“It is quite unpleasant, yes?” the man standing at the edge of the concrete pit asks while he looks down at me, his left hand holding a martini glass, half-full, his right holding a gold-plated Walther PPK.

“That’s my gun!” I shout at him as the slime reaches my neck.

“This?” He looks at it and chuckles. “Here.”

He throws it into the sludge and slime. I watch helplessly as it sinks.

Just like I do.

I thought the hero always got away.

Boy, am I wrong…
