Less Than Fresh
By
Jake Bible
“It’s just a game.”
Henry had said that to himself more than a few times already.
It wasn’t helping.
“Three minutes left.”
He stared at the pieces. He knew how they went together.
He’d studied anatomy back in college. He’d considered going into medicine.
But all of that was beside the point as the clock ticked down.
“Just a game…”
Henry picked up the femur and gagged.
The smell.
It didn’t smell like a prop. It smelled real. And less than fresh.
“One minute.”
“Just let me out!”
“Fifty-five seconds.”
He scrambled to reassemble the body.
Worst escape room ever…
