Time again for some free microfiction. 100 words of awesome to get your weekend kicked off right!
So, some cool news! All of the Galactic Fleet Universe novels (GFU), MEGA/Team Grendel novels, and Z-Burbia novels have found a new publisher! Huzzah! I can’t tell you exactly who until the papers are signed. Gotta cross those T’s and dot those I’s. But I’ll make an official announcement soon.
Also, and I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this, but I’m working on a nonfiction book about the origins and creation of a major AAA video game franchise. You’ve heard of it. Trust me. And I’m doing this in conjunction with the person who was the studio head at the time. So I’m getting the real scoop on it all. Once I’m able to make the full announcement, I will. It’s pretty cool.
And something else that’s pretty cool is that I’ll be working as a show creator and sales maestro for a creator-owned and operated, AI television channel debuting on Twitch. Yeah, that’s quite a sentence to parse, I know. And, yeah, there is a ton of fear around AI taking our jobs as creators. Not to worry. This is an ethically produced channel, and everyone who contributes gets royalties. There’s no ripping artists off or anything like that. Just like with all of the above, I’ll announce the details when stuff is finalized. I think you all will dig it big time!

Dying The Dream

“Buckle up, buttercup!”
Digger frowns at the man behind the wheel of the 1972 Chevy Nova.
Not because the man has shoved his right foot down on the accelerator as far as it will go, but because he supposedly died fifty years earlier.
In the exact 1972 Chevy Nova that Digger has found himself in.
“Is this a dream?” Digger asks the man, a local legend known to haunt the area’s highways and byways.
“Always, baby!” the man screeches as the speedometer hits sixty, seventy, ninety, one-ten.
Digger shrugs. “Okay.”
Everyone dies sometime. This ain’t a bad way to go.
