So, tomorrow is October 1st. Let the spooky season begin!

I do love spooky season. My birthday is only four days before Halloween, so spooky season is my season, y’all. MINE!

No major announcements, nothing huge going on, just plugging away at the words as fast as I can. Slower than I used to since I have a day job, but still plugging away.

Kicked in the head.

You spend your life researching, hunting, searching, and then, then, you finally find what you have obsessed over for decades…

…and you get kicked in the head.

Not so much as a warning. Just a quick tail lift and BAM!

Down you go.

World spinning.

Head ringing.

Eyes crossed.

Fuzzy, fuzzy, fuzzy.

Falling, falling, falling.

Dirt. Face. Meet.

You did everything right.

Didn’t wear any strong scents.

Made sure your boots were laced tightly and nothing on you jingled or rattled.

Everything right, dammit!

Guess there’s just no way to successfully sneak up on a unicorn…
