Ho Ho Hoditty Ho, Y’all!
Okay, it may be a tad early for the ho ho hos, but the spirit is in me!
I just can’t help myself as I sit here and put this post together while I sip eggnog-laced coffee. Mmmmm, eggnog…
I’d shill my website and try to get y’all to buy some books, but You probably already have all of them, right? RIGHT? Of course you do…
I’ll just move right into tonight’s drabble.
But, before I go, I just want to hint at some cool stuff happening in 2024. I get the rights back to a whole shit ton of my books and I’m going to seriously try to make a go of publishing them myself. It’ll be a MASSIVE amount of work, but I think I can do it.
We shall see. Stay tuned!
Enjoy!
Cheers!

Just Chanting
By
Jake Bible
Cali hated the heat.
She’d never been much of a summer girl.
Heat wasn’t her thing.
She preferred those crisp, chilly winter nights with a warm parka or layers of flannels and sweaters. Then a cozy fire, some very hot tea, and her fleece blanket.
So standing at the edge of the volcano was not exactly her thing.
Also, being forced to be a sacrifice to the gods wasn’t her thing either.
“You sure we can’t talk this out?” Cali asked the chanting monks or whatever they were.
No response. Just chanting.
“Well…shit…”
Cali really didn’t like the heat.
