Too much time.

That was all Nisha could think as she watched the people stream in and out of the mall.

Too much time.

Nisha liked to cut things close, to ride the danger just up to the edge. Then she’d skip back to her time, none the worse.

But she’d flubbed the entry and came in six hours early.

Early was bad. Early led to mistakes.

Nisha couldn't afford mistakes. She’d already been in front of the Time Tribunal three times in six months.

Too much time…

Or…maybe just enough time to go inside and grab a pretzel!
