The steam nearly took Gera’s skin clean off.

She only just managed to jump back in time before she was turned into a Gorborian dumpling.

“Kill the aft discharge coupler!” Gera shouted.

No response.

She maneuvered around the still streaming jet of steam and slammed her span-wrench against the valve. The hot geyser of vicious moisture died.

“Hey! Morny! Kill the aft-!”

“I heard ya,” a voice crackled over the comm. “It’s killed.”

Gera verified that it was indeed killed then got back to work.

“See the stars, they said,” Gera muttered. “Can’t see shit from the engine room…”
